Granularity of the data

Data is collected at all times for all panel members. This results in sufficient data signals for nearly any location even on the hourly level. However: as a data-driven company, we believe big data should be treated as such and a to granular zoom on data should be treated with caution. That is why a model that uses multiple weeks of historic data is suggested for further modelling instead of limiting one self to using only the actual data at hand.

The following screenshots illustrate the granularity of data collected on a monthly vs daily basis. The image left shows car traffic collected for one month, the image on the right footfall data at IKEA and Flanders’ Expo in Ghent on one day.
